Why should I add characteristics and target audiences for my event?

By providing additional information about your event’s characteristics and target audience, you increase its visibility and relevance.  All fields are optional – but it helps us recommend your event to the right audience.

Accessibility
If your event is barrier-free, you can indicate this by ticking a checkbox. This helps people with disabilities decide whether they can attend and supports a more inclusive event experience.

Once the checkbox is selected, an additional text field will appear where you can add details about the accessibility of your event.

Examples:

  • Step-free access
  • Stairlift
  • Wheelchair-accessible toilet
  • Seating for guests with reduced mobility
  • Other helpful services or support

If you're unsure whether your event qualifies as barrier-free, you can find more information in the article: Is my event barrier-free?

Age restriction

If your event has an age restriction, you can specify a minimum and/or maximum age. This information is especially important for events with legal requirements or a specific target audience.

Target audience

In addition to the age restriction, you can define a target audience. This helps make your event more visible to the right users – for example, through search filters, recommendations or emails.

The following options are available:

  • Age group (optional: from/to)
  • Families
  • Women / Men / Diverse (multiple selections possible)

If an age restriction is already set, it will automatically apply when the target audience option is enabled.

Post-event mood

You can indicate how you want guests to feel after attending your event. Several predefined options are available – you can select up to three at a time.
These choices help convey the atmosphere and emotional impact of your event, giving potential guests a more authentic impression of what to expect.
